Ok now i got this problem of which noone at m$ ever heard of 🙁 kinda lame if you ask me since they created it them selves... anyway heres the thing:
I have a network:
server (2 nic, 1 for wan and 1 for lan)
4 workstations (1 nic each fast ethernet)
2 laptops ( wireless (11 and 54mbit)
All connected to a 10/100 switch.
Now on ALL pc's is windows 2000 pro sp4 installed except for 1 laptop which has windows xp sp2
The laptop with winxp is a trouble maker, the sp2 got installed some days ago and now when rebooting that thing it killed my whole network instantly.... and with killed i do not mean screwed up settings, but more like nic's not functioning anymore. its like theyre all broke....
As far as i know theres no settings made on sp2... Even so for the other clients NOTHING CHANGED....
I cant ping other pc's ( i get a timeout)
If i ping the box itself it replies normally.... what could be wrong?
When examining the event logs theres no unusual entries...
No errors shown... Its just not making any sense!
please dont ask for more info,,, cuz probably i dont have it... this is pretty much all i know....
Thanks alot in advance!
