I'm new to php and am looking into a project currently. Before I embark on trying to get this to work and to learn all the code I need I woul dbe gratefull if anyone can tell me if this is possible, and any tips would be great.

Basicly it is for a game called blood bowl. I need a table of all the different types of players availible. Users will select plays from a drop down box and it will then display the stats for each one. they select the players they want, it calculates the cost and it then saves this as a new team, prob in a new table. Players will then need to be able to adjust there teams stats as playing progresses, add new skills etc.

any comments or help would be appreciated

Hi, welcome to the world of programming, and especially PHP.

From the very brief that you've wrote, it sounds very possible. The harder thing is to figure it out to do it right. Once you know what you want to do, it should be very easy in PHP.

There is a php blood bowl league manager available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/nuffle/. A live version of it can be seen at obbl.net. I am new to PHP as well and am trying to get it to work on my machine as well. Unfortunately I have not yet been successful. If I figure it out I will post here.
