hello
was wondering if someone could help, I might want a hosting company to install a program for me.
but before i even bother calling them to install it want to know if it is possible to run programs from php, for example if you want automated scripts to run when a user adds a pdf document and you want to use a pdf to text program can you run it on a webserver from a browser?
how can i make something like this, cause I need to create automated scripts to run on certain parts of the website which might even need special programs?
any help would be appreciated
