I am sorry, I know i have read about this before, but I don't know the terminology so I am having trouble searching for it.

How can i caputure 'var1=1&var2=4' in this example link

www.site.com/page.php?var1=1&var2=4

I found what i was looking for,

$_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]

it returns the whole current url

To be precise you can use $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']
