Band's show schedule script...

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for help writing coding this script for my bands shows page. I've done alot with news postings and whatnot but I'm lost on how to get this one work.

What I want to have is when you go to post a show...

• It'll have 3 drop downs. Month, Day, Year. You get the idea.

• A field for the venue name.

• A field for the venue's city.

• A field for the venue's state.

• A field for the time.

• A field for extra info which would include price, bands playing with etc. Kind of just a body type input.

Anyway's what has my lost is how to make the date work with the 3 drop downs and input the correct date to my db and pull it back. Also I want it to order the dates of course. And if theres 2 shows on the same day order the earliest time one first of course.

Maybe you guys could help me? Sure it's not hard. Also how would I go about making it so it automatically takes shows down that have passed? For instance it's the day after a show and the show from lastnight isn't on the page anymore.

What I'm looking to do is something like this http://coheedandcambria.com/shows/ except I'd like to show the year too. I tried to just have it so you input the date of the show yourself into a field (Ex. 11/04/04) and then have it sort by that field "date". It works fine except for it I were to add a date for next year, like (Ex. 01.04.05). Since the first two are "01" it decides to put that date before everything else.

I have the general idea I do believe but I don't know how to get it to sort the dates right. Any ideas? I would really appreciate it. Thanks everyone...
