data in myTable
(1) I am a boy
(2) Are you making fun of him?
(3) Yes, I am
(4) He has many books
(5) She is a girl
(6) I am going to have a baby
(7) He is good.
I like to retrieves (2), (4) and (6).
The following is one of my trials.
trial code
where say like '%a%'
and say not like 'a%'
and say not like '%a'
and say not like '% a%'
and say not like '%a %'
result
(4) He has many books
But the trial code above retrieves only (4).
solution
where
say regexp '[[:<:]]([[:alnum:]])+a([[:alnum:]])+[[:>:]]'
The above is a solution for getting my target result, and it works fine.
But I like to not use "regExp" for my own reason.
How can I retrieve (2), (4) and (6) without using regExp?
Is this impossible?
Thanks in Advance
