email & new line

I'm sending text email. How I can make new line.
"\n" seems to be not working.

#1. $headers .= "Content-Type: text/plain";
#2. $headers .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";
It is working. The problem was in the header. I change the header #2 to $header #1.

Also, it seems to be working without \r\n. Just using spaces in the text.

Should I use spaces or \n\r?
