[Resolved] passing vars with URL

Hi, I am working on a website on a different server than usual.
URL Variables aren't working. A form with an action of
$PHP_SELF?log=yes, for example, will not set $log. If I echo it, it is blank. I remember this problem for a long time ago. Is it due to
register_globals being turned off? Thanks.

echo $_GET['log'];
