Run PHP local

I have brought home some PHP files from work for the weekend. I am a front-end developer and as such need some advice.

I need to install PHP on my local machine so that I can test my html/php pages. Which link at the following URL do I need. I am a newbie and I don't understand why there are 'Complete Source Code' and 'Windows Binaries'. If you could advise what link I should use and perhaps explain why there are so many options at the following address, it would be much appreciated.

Simply put, if you want to compile the server programs yourself, then download the source; if you would like to get the ready-to-install executables, the download the binary package. If you have to ask, my guess is you want the binaries.
