Seeing Error messages

Hi all, just a quick question, the answer to which will be totally obvious to any PHP user. How do I see error messages? In asp they appear in the web browser, but when there is an error in php nothing appears on the screen.

I have tried, unsuccessfully to install a debugger,

but surely there is another, easier way to see errors?

I have php installed as an apache module, and my php info can be viewed at:

http://www.hwidd.ath.cx/test.php3

In php.ini, set display_errors = On, and set the appropriate error_reporting level.
