silly question about how to echo <br>

so i have a section on my page that describes how to do a line break or <br>... the problem is, is that whenever i enter <br> as an example, it just breaks the line... i need to know how i can get <br> to show up to a person reading my page.... silly question i know, but i cant figure it out... thx for any help

Since HTML see <br> as a line break u muse use HTML Codes for different special characters such as <,> and so on
