[Resolved] Regex Valid Price Checker

Hey guys, I'm trying to validate prices entered in a text box, but my regex abilities are pretty sub-par. I search PHPbuilder and found this: http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=10251750&highlight=valid+price

But it doesn't work perfectly. I.e., I can enter .19.99 or 1.99.99 or even 1a99.99 and it still matches fine.

Does anyone know of any better ways to check for a valid price, using regex or not, it doesn't matter. Thanks!

^\d+(\.\d{1,2})?$
