FILE UPLOADS - Big Files Dont Work??

I am using php to upload files to my web server. I know all about the MAX_FILE_SIZE, and the php upload_filesize.

Uploading files < 100k works great, I can upload and download and view them no problems. I try to upload a file of 400k, it says it uploads fine, but then if i download it, it is not viewable.

I am working ont he assumption all uploaded files are word docs (which they should be) and so i just have php add a '.doc' extension to the filename, regardless.

Why do the 100k files work fine and the 400k not work at all? I though it was becuase of the max_file_saize thing, so i took that out completely and still have the same issue. AND there are no reported errors in the upload process...??

Can any gurus help me out?

Here is some more info:

When i try and d/l any file that i uploaded over 400k it always comes back at 320k, ALWAYS

In the php.ini file the max upload is set at the default, 2M

what's the value for post_max_size in your php.ini?

Try increasing max_input_time or max_execution_time perhaps ?
