Problem with Sessions

Here is an example page. You can use the login name and password of "test" (without the quotes).

When a user is logged in certain links are displayed as well as a little welcome message ("Welcome, $uname!"). However if the user clicks on links to go to different areas then usually by the third click the user name disappears from the welcome message and even though the links are still there for the users, the page acts as if the user is not logged in (ie, when you click on the links nothing happens). Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks. 🙂

It still does it for me. 😕 Did you click the links up at the top a few times (FAQ, Reviews, Search, etc)? I clicked each one a few times (not at the same time, however) and after a while it did it again.

Hi,

i clicked around a little bit and it worked without any problems as long as I didn't click on register. As soon as I clicked on register the session died. Check the code in the registration script if it kills the session. You might want to modify the menu part of the scripts so that the register link is inactive if someone is already logged in.

The session died when I clicked on "Search". The only code that pertains to the session in those pages is "session_start();" at the top of each page. Is there anything else that I need to add?
