Just wondered if you got the pdf extraction thing to work? I have been trying for around two months with various products which just cant seem to work.
So if yours work would love to know how you got it to work. I personally have not tried http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/about.html
but other ones.
And what is the procedure:
1. you download the tar.z file
2. did you then ask your isp to install it for you ? or did you do it yourself ? - the installing part confuses the living daylights out of me since I am not a Linux person or web administrator.
2.1 can you install the program yourself from windows to the webserver ?!
3. ok so lets assume you got past this part what happened then, how did you run the program to extract the pdf from php? did you use something like exec or how does it work. can it be set up so that it runs when someone uploads a pdf?
