Navigation with functions

I want to write a function to expand a link with sublinks. Is this possible i.e.

function sublinks(){
              echo "<div id = \"sublinks\">";
              echo "<a href = \"morelinks\">Foolinks</a>";
}

echo "<a href=\"sublinks();\">booLink</a>";

can this be done?

No it will just echo out in the href attribute. Try using javascript maybe

maybe then the better question is what is a good way to create links and sublinks in an include file to make it easier to navigate and make updates.

Update as in how exactly?

Basically from what ive seen your better in just leaving this sublinks links in the HTML and not even deal with it with PHP.

However the best way if your going to have a dynamic based Navigation would be databases and put things into sub sections etc. Then just build HTML templates of them depending on whether there a link or a sub link.

by Updates i mean i don't want to have to change the file location in ten different files, I'd rather do it in one and be done with it.
