Okay, I am making somewhat of a portal for my family website and I have the idea of what I want to do and I can do it but not dynamicly. Here it is:
I need to figure out how I can have 1 file that would be the "layout" that file has a standard banner, left-nav, and content in one table. Like so:

I need to be able to have a way to switch the content pages. If my included pages were static I would be fine using switch/case. But the files I need to include are pages like an calender which is only 1 page. But that calender.php has the switch/case as well.
So I cannot do: http://mysite.com/index.php?pg=calender&action=view
The pg part is for index and the action is for the calander page.
If someone understands my problem. PLEASE respond
