Something new for me...

I am trying to determine my best angle too approach the following.

I have an INCLUDE text file that contains some HTML for a real estate web site. This include file lists several featured homes...

The user adds new featured homes VIA an HTML form but here is what I want too add. The ability too EDIT & DELETE these entries

So I'm racking my head trying to figure out the best way too be able to read this file and extract the values of each Featured home i.e. (location, address, bathrooms etc.) and also how too remove a home as well...

Here's an example of what the text file is looking like

Since each home is in the same format...I know there is a way for me too break this up...just looking for some input on how you guys might handle this...

Since all your html is the same, and since you can so easily separate the display code from the data, why don't you put the data into a file by itself, without the html. You could put each property on a separate line, separating the fields with comma. Then you could read the file into an array, and explode each line into its separate elements. Then for display you'd just write something like

<b><font size="2" face="Verdana">' . $properties[2][4] . '</font></b></td>';

Makes 100% sense...

Dude too restrictions I have with another coder I'm working with using PERL for the output...(don't ask..)

I can't change the output...but your recommendation will work well..I can make a text file too store the Proeprties then generate the static HTML page from that file...Downfall...I'll have to re-generate the page after each update too the properties...but it's not the end of the world
