Automatic filerun

I have two .php files that I need to run once a day to update some statistics. Is there any way to get this done automatically? I have them stored at a free host with MySQL and PHP4.

I checked a couple of threads now, and I'm still not really sure how to do it. Problem is that I have my files uploaded to a free host. I'm not sure I have access to Cron and all that. There is MyPHP Administration. Will that work? And what's the procedure?

Look all around your hosting company's site and in your site control panel. Hopefully you should find info on if they'll let you use them and if so, how they want you to set it up. If you can't find anything, call and ask them 🙂

Btw, just so you're kinda aware of the process, google for something like "setting up a cron job" and get familliar with the process in case you need to set one up manually. If you're lucky, your host will have an option to create them through your control panel.

OK, I have checked and there's nothing in the controlpanel. Guess I'll have to contact them then. Thanks anyway.
