Trouble with Windows environments path variable in PHP

I have this rather strange problem with my setup of PHP.
When I have installed PHP, PHP doesn't registre all of the values in the Windows environment path variable.

My setup:
Windows XP
Apache 2.0 webserver
PHP 4.3.9

I have even reinstalled PHP after the installation of my new software that were registered in the environment path variable. Even then it only reads the default values from the environment path variable.

I have installed PHP on several windowsboxes in the past but never runned into this problem.

one way to do it would be to use Apache's SetEnv command in httpd.conf.

SetEnv PathToTheTV /livingroom

Other than that, I guess you'd have to fight with XP.
