Hmmm ... does it work with IE ? How did you set up the web server ? Did you try to open the PHP file directly or did you request it as URL from the web server ?

Works fine with IE. Since it is on a server with my ISP, the PHP code doesn't actually execute unless I am at home, in which case I run it from localhost rather than the ISP's webspace. I just put it in as an URL, whether I use IE or Firefox. It comes up with a box asking me what to do with the file everytime I access it, then I choose to open it with Firefox. The checkbox on that screen is disabled where it says 'do this automatically'. Is that checkbox always disabled?

Ok ... didn't completely understand ... why doesn't the code of the script at your ISP execute unless you're at home ? Can you access the server only through your dial up/leased line at home ?

You wrote that you request it from localhost as soon as you're at home. How did you set up the web server at home ?

There's not much point uploading PHP files to your ISP's webspace if your ISP's webserver does not support PHP.
Rather, setup PHP on your home computer (first you'll need to setup a webserver like Apache), and test your PHP scripts from there.

Most of the code on the page is non-PHP. I decided just to upload a .htm version of it to the webspace. Still IE has no problem with it, just Firefox.

You basically have problems viewing a particular HTML file in Firefox?
