write content from text file to database?

just wondering if it is possible to take the content from a text file and write it to a database?

i have a form and when a user submits the form, i want a text files text to also write to the database when everything writes to the database.

is this possible?

simply grab the contents of the text file using [man]file_get_contents[/man] and then stick it in the db.
