Display forum info on a webpage

Hi, I run a madden football league and got a script from a friend where there is a team page http://www.xtrememadden.net/team/?team=Bills My problem is I would like to get the team news and recent transactions working on mine but have been unable to find the right items in mysql. The script is supposed to check yor forum database by user(and forum i think) for their latest post and then display it on their teams page is what I understand. Here is the code that I need help with

I know I need to uncomment the lines and have tried that on another copy of this file. Thats where I have tried a few differnt things for the different variables in this script but with no luck just puts a thin line in the middle of the page. http://bhfl.maddenfootballleagues.com/team/?team=Cowboys If someone could offer any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Umcomment the code here, please; helps in reading if the syntax highlighter shows something besides just orange.

Also, the "mine" link doesn't seem to be up at the moment....

Ok i uncommented the code and checked the link it should work. As for the code I do realize there is 2 ifs and one would need commented out. I am unsure which to use and what exactly to change to conform to my forums. Thanks for any info

There are no syntax errors, specifically, in your quoted snippet.

The echoed HTML might need quotes around some attribute values, particularly if they are PHP variables. In the event a variable (say, $fontcolor2) was null, this might muck up the HTML output. If you add quotes in these echo() statements, be sure to escape them --- this is done correctly at the "cellpadding" and "cellspacing" table attributes, but not much of anywhere else.

Of course, another problem, and the biggest:

The server doesn't answer a browser, nor telnet ... so we can't even see the page in question....

ok thanks for the info. Very weird you cant connect to the page or telnet. I tried telnet and I believe it connected. I types open bhfl.maddenfootballleagues.com 80 and it seemed to connect then said press any key to continue. Not knowing telnet I cant be sure if it connected cause when i puched a key i went back to telnet prompt. I did notice you have bfhl instead of bhfl but the website is up and fully working. http://bhfl.maddenfootballleagues.com maybe if you try the main page and select the link on the left for a "team site" any will do(if you can access the site). Anyways thanks again Ill try working on it tomorrow some and see how goes it.
