Explode Number

Hello. I have a simple script that outputs a number in the form X.XX. How would I use the explode feature to only include "XX", and not "X."? I appreciate your help, thanks. The number is a variable $numbr

$integer_part = $exploded_number[0];
$decimal_part = $exploded_number[1];

You can also get those values using a floor() and a modulus..

Thanks for showing some alternatives to my approach, BM. I didn't go any further than to show how explode is based on the array concept, thinking that an obvious newbie might be best off starting with fundamentals. But then maybe he is ready to jump into using "a floor and a modulus" to derive simple array elements. Again, thanks for pointing out how incomplete my anwer was.

P.S. You left out regular expressions.
