help with a search facility? anyone?

hi everyone. im very new to php and for an assignment i have to construct a prototype e-shop selling cd's. anyway i have most of the website going i.e. i have functions such as add product, delete product, view all products working.

the database name is b03waw_626db
the table name is products
it has field names - Prod_Id
Prod_Band (i.e. artist name)
Prod_Name (i.e. album name)
Price

however, i am hoping to add a facility that would allow a customer to search for a product by Prod_Band (i.e. artist name.)

but i dont really know where to start.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

SELECT * FROM products where Prod_Band LIKE '%j%'

// this will display your product where prod_Band contains "j"

the "%" is anything
