bandwidth use from dynamic iamges

I have a script which I use to create reduced verison of original images which reside on my the server.

I was just wondeirng if doing this affects the bandwidth use? i.e: if i ahve a 100Kb picture and the script out puts an image whichbis only 50Kb is my bandwidth use only 50Kb or is it 150Kb for accessing original image and transferring the reduced version. How exactly is bandwidth emasured in this case?

the bandwidth (as measured by most commercial web hosts) is the total traffic between the server and the clients. so if your larger image is never part of the output that is sent from server to client then it would not count against your bandwidth.
