.htaccess, IE and firebird redirect to different place

Here is my situation

I have a alive site

www.mysite.com running on my alive server with IP for example 123.45.123.45

I am doing a developing version of www.mysite.com, I set it up in develop server, with IP for example, 123.45.123.46. Since the DNS record only set up for the alive site. I access the developing site by its IP, 123.45.123.46.

on my test site

http://123.45.123.46/admin, I used .htaccess to protect it.

So when I try to access http://123.45.123.46/admin

A log in pop up window will show.

So far so good.

Now here comes the problem.

If I am using Internet Explorer, after I log in to the http://123.45.123.46/admin, I will be redirected to the alive site
http://www.mysite.com/admin.

But if I am using firebird, after I log in to the http://123.45.123.46/admin, I am staying in the http://123.45.123.46/admin.

What is going on?

My question was wrong.

What I found is that if I tried to login to

http://123.45.123.46/admin/

I am staying in http://123.45.123.46/admin/

But if I tried to login to http://123.45.123.46/admin

I will be directed to http://www.mysite.com/admin
