WTM + forum

I'm new here so dont kill me if I'm asking in the wrong section of the forum for help 😉

Well anyways, I have a website with a forum that uses WTM to calculate the visitors and statistics of the website. Now 50% or more are visiting only the forum. The problem is that like in phpbuilder.com there are many sections inside the forum for example Newbies, General Help, etc. of which i cant have individual information. In another words, i can only see for example that of 1000 visitors 500 are visiting the forum, but what i cant see is whether or not are they only visiting for example General Help and is anyone checking out Newbies section.

Now my question is where and how should i insert the WTM tags so i could see individual information of the forums sections?

I have started to work with this site after it had already been made so I'm not very familiar with the code yet. So if there's something unclear please ask me so I can figure this one out.

I think this may be the wrong forum altogether.

However, I assume you'll want to put the WTM tags in the links to the different parts of the forum. However, if you have, like PHP Builder, a list of the newest posts from all boards, you'll probably find that visitors use that as their main navigation tool rather than clicking on the individual boards. I think I'm not unusual in that I just view new posts and read the ones I'm interested in, unless I'm looking for a specific answer to a problem in previous posts.

So, I don't know how you can add the tags to the links to every new post. I imagine you'll want to put a variable into each link, e.g. www.mysite.com/boards/newthread.php?board=newbies&ID=1234567 and then do something to pick up that variable and add it to your WTM statistics. Doesn't WTM provide a manual that answers questions like this?
