Table is trashed, tried repair - any chance of recovery?

Ok, major database problems...

When trying to view the table (through phpMyAdmin) mcontent_ringtones I get the following error...

#1016 - Can't open file: 'mcontent_ringtones.MYI'. (errno: 144)

I have tried to repair the table several times (REPAIR TABLE mcontent_ringtones but I then get this error...

File '.\txtnation\mcontent_ringtones.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2)

I don't really understand how MySQL tables are stored on the server (i.e. in terms of the actual files), although I gather there are MYI and MYD files. Is the above error saying that the MYD file does not exist?

Is there any way of recovering this database table?

Any help on this is much appreciated as this is an urgent problem on a critical system!

Looks buggered to me. Go to your most recent back up.

MYD files are the actual table data files, and yes it is saying that the file is not there. Have a look in the dir to see if that is really the case, you may get lucky and find that it is just the name that is wrong/corrupted/changed.
