firstly i use geocities
When i try to link to main.php it comes up with a download box asking to download main.php
I am not sure if it is because geocities doesnt support php. If it is can u please tell me a free site hoster thing that will let me use php.

I believe Tripod allows PHP on free accounts. But whatever provider you go with the PHP implementation will be heavily locked down and you'll not have access to stuff you'd have on a paid account.

You can get a year's worth of PHP hosting with MySQL and all the usual toys for about $20 these days. Stop being quite so cheap.
