reading files from a folder

on my site, video clips will be uploaded and saved into a folder. My members will eventually want to delete those files in that folder. First I want to list all of the members videos and then he/she can choose which file to delete. What is the best function to use to retrieve this data. I have retrieved from databases but never from a folder. What is the best way to approach this. I looked thru the php.net manual but its a bit confusing as to how to go about this. Thanks for the help!!

Bit strange that there is nothing like Dir in PHP isn't it. But the answer looks like using glob with a wildcard http://uk2.php.net/manual/en/function.glob.php

Acutally there is... [man]readdir/man

It should make short work of what you need to do.

AH! There was me looking in the files ref and I should have known there would be a directories function list. Wish I'd seen that 6 months ago.
