Hiding path to my Movie file's for download

Hello, this is my first time posting here. I am making a web site for my class. And I want to have some videos clips available for download. But I don’t want people to be able to see the pathway to my download when they hover the mouse over the link or when they click "save target as". I want to hide the pathway and if possible with PHP give a fake pathway. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

You could store the path in a database and use the ID of it to retrieve the video.

Ok, I am a n00b at this. How exactly would I do this? Like setting up the data base and coding it? Thanks!!!
