turning texted into a html table

hello guys ive got a tought one here ive been tryign to figure it out for about a week but i just cant get my head round it

i dont knw how to explain what i want my code to do so ill simply try to show you

basicly i have a programe that out puts this

and i wanted to be able to put this file into a php script that converts it to a table like

but with all the players

the problem im having is the fact that each time i get the info its differant
but in the same shape and layout if you know what i mean.

any ideas?
if i didnt explain myself pls ask and i will answer asap

Hi,

seems like those files are not very large so I think that nothing speaks against fetching the whole file into a variable.

After that use explode and preg_match to get the sections of the file and to get the info you need.

Use the data you get to build an array which holds the data grouped by user and then use that array to print the table.

EDIT: or read the file line by line and use the empty lines and ~ lines as triggers for new sections and the section names.

im not exactly an expert with php but i can figure out scripts and know some of the more basic php

is there anyway you could point me to an example of how to do it or give me a quick one

Do you want to just display the data of one file or the combined data of several files (average/sum). In that case it might be better to use a database.

just one file

i have a very complcated script that puts the info into the database but i need this html table so i can transfer the info into the script if you get my meaning

just getting that info into the above table would be all i need

Find attached a script that does that for parts of the file.

You just need to extend the first three arrays in the file and the defaultUserStat array to add support for the two last sections.

The script doesn't check in all cases if e.g. preg_match returns anything. But I hope it points you in the right direction and that I completely understood what you want to do 🙂

I forgot one thing ... but I think you already figured that one out.

Additionally, you need to activate the commented tds in the table code.

About the preg patterns for the two missing sections ... you already have them 😉

ive figured out that these actualy locate the info
but i cant figure out how to add the 2 missing ones

i guess i just gotta play around with it a little more

How dow you count a game if it ends in a draw (or isn't that possible) ?
