Hey people, Please I need some feedback on the Layout (not the code) of soon to be new web page for www.define-web.com

Non of Fullscreen size image are up in Web Portfolio pages.

Other links (gallery and so on are not active yet) they will reflect the page seen in web design portfolio pages.

Again Please just some feedback on my layout would be good.

The color I am using are plane, not too colorful or anything, only colorful images are in portfolio pages. wanted interface to be simple with out too much color. yet not be a long page of content.

Use Firefox, or IE to browse, not webpage has JavaScript, CSS, PHP

I think this is a draft. Pretty much everything needs work including the html (why use a table to center your divs - why not simply use CSS?).

Better fonts...more padding/empty space...less trying so hard to create spacial effects...until you figure out more of what you are trying to say about yourself. What is the story? I hate to be harsh, but personality counts (even if it's a boring personality) - this doesn't really have much yet. I think you are being ambitious with your design and that is a good thing - keep going further.

Your content (blog) text really needs to be organized better and while you do have a grid at work here there are too many objects that slip in and out of it thus making things either distracting or disappear.

For designer sites, I think you need to remember that the goal is to tell people who you are. Is this site you? Is it what you do? If this was a website walking down a street with other websites are there any characteristics that would pull your target audience' attention to it?

If you want alot of design feedback you should consider joining YayHooray. I'm being extremely general here since I don't have time to go into alot of detail. If you join, expect to get alot of feedback and some of it extremely harsh (which is typical of any design crit).

IMHO...

I would make it simpler. When you roll over a thumbnail have it show on the right with detail instead of what you have now which is the static image of the last project you viewed.

After I select a project I would like a thumbnail list of your other projects on the page so I can choose the next one I want to view. Currently I need to click back or click the web design button again.

I would do something more with 'define-web' on the top right. the font is boring. play with the letters and make something interesting.

you have a little toooo much fading going on in the page. too many special effects starts to cheese out the site.

Yes thank much for the feedback, I will join yayhooray.com/ soon to get more feedback. soon as the website is close to done. i will hop over and look around.

My goal was to use this for Portfolio place on the web. not much as Attracking Clients for web design. Yet Clients would be looking at this for examples of my work. And i did not want the same old boring format. some change was needed to layout.

Yes I understand what you mean.

In web Design page. Random Image is sown on right from my portfolio, most the time is image is differnt when visting web design page.

One issue i had was load time, I want to make sure this will not effect a very long or close to long amount of load time. I will still think about this.

Yes I will replace define-web font with a logo that is in WIP.

Hope I am not going overboard with the mouseover (hover) effects on this page.

I feel that they are not too cheesy for the resaon of getting the user eye to focus in one area of page and be more readable/viewable.

much of this is subjective. i think what is important is that everything you have is clean (not pixelated or blurry unless it is on purpous) and you do not whore it out with photoshop effects.
