Php sessions and cookies question

Hello,

I have learned enough to be able to successfully use
session variables throughout my webpages.

I need now to be able to add the ability to save a cookie
with a couple of pieces of information for recall up to
3 or 4 months down the road.

How can I do this and keep my session stuff? I have been
getting the header already sent error when trying to combine
the two options sessions and cookies.

Look into [man]ob_start/man and [man]ob_end_flush/man for the headers already sent error. Look into [man]SetCookie/man for setting cookies.

Sessions and cookies are two different things and are stored in to different locations. So, they should not have an effect on eachother unless you tell the script to.
