Permission problem with upload

i made a script to upload files into a folder wich is set to 777

the upload script works fine, and the file ends up in the directory

but when i got to my ftp program and eg try to download the file, it doesn't work, i get a permission error
if i then check the permissions of the file i just uploaded it has 600, and i can't change the permissions 🙁this is very annoying

anybody an ide ato get this solved?

yeah but i'm talkign about files uploaded
the folder i make with my ftp program and chmod 777

The solution's there ... just have to accept that uploading files to directories has issues with permissions.

One way to get round these issues is to ONLY use ftp functions in PHP to upload files.

If you find another way, post it up ... I'd be glad to see it.
