User Managment tuts?

Hello 🙂

Does anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on how to code a user managment system? Something so people who visit my site can register, login, and then have their own profile, where they can have their name, pic, comp specs, etc... I've looked around for some user managment stuff to put on my site, but none of them are as customizable as I'd like, so I just figured I might as well make my own.

There is one over at http://devshed.com however its slightly old.

User Management Systems are not that hard to make if you can make something in PHP with a database a User Management System shouldnt be too hard you may also want to search the forums there have been a number of topics about this.

okay, well so far all i've found is a bunch of other peoples systems that are all advanced, or not customizeable enough. And all the tuts i'm finding only have registering and logging in, nothing about having profiles for the users that register.

any help would be appreciated, thank you.
