closing a window in php

I am trying to avoid client side
programming and was wanting to do this like open a window and close a window by using php - ie from the server side.
Is this possible. That is when a button is clicked the program exts AND closes the window. Any thoughts ?

No this is not possible. PHP can only do work on the Server Side it cannot interact with the Client in such a way.
