[Resolved] [Resolved] [Resolved] mySQL Timestamp... old to new

Hello.

I have moved a database to a new server with a newer version of mySQL. The new one uses this format within the timestamp: 2004-12-09 16:44:22 whereas the old data (and PHP) uses the old Timestamp(14) format.

I have noticed that PHPmyAdmin has this as the default value: CURRENT_TIMESTAMP but i cant find what to change it to :bemused:

Any ideas?

if you are using the most recent version of phpMyAdmin then it will no doubt be mySQL 4.1.x compatible and use the correct timestamp format.

Does this mean my PHP script (using 'NOW()' in an insert query) will need to be updated also, or is it just phpMyAdmin i will need to change?

That hasnt seemed to fix the problem, whatever i do it stays. I have also noticed a 'collation' column in phpmyadmin, which i didnt notive in the old version. It shows 'latin1_swedish_ci' 😕

[EDIT #2] i cant change what phpMyAdmin displays, but it doesnt matter as my queries seem to work the same.

The new problem is that i am getting 'Illegal Mix of Collation' errors?? Any ideas?
