Hi I have just taken over as web admin at my work. My previous experience with web sites has been limited to asp with access db. My work is using php with MyPHPAdmin, I am trying to install phpnuke and I am a bit lost as where start. On our webspace I can't seem to locate any place to put the php nukes nuke.sql db . My work is currently using mambo for its website but I would like to change it to phpnuke. The webspace was left in a complete mess (files everywhere) by the last person so I would like delete everything and start fresh.

Any help would be great

Ask your manager for a php hosting.
indeed start over again.
Most of the time the website looks like a mess, the source is even worse.
Don't clean this up.
I did this too... it took me days... I regret this.
Be arrogant and tell your boss you start over again.
and bring clean code. Clean code is what a search spider likes.
clean code is what will bring you money.
let the content be good.
First rule of google... let the content be good.
If google index your page high... the rest will follow.
