PHP mail() and Frontpage webbot?

ok, so i've had a lot of frustration with trying to get an apparently simple PHP mail form to send to the email address that im telling it to. But now ive come across some frontpage component webbot that basically allows for the same results, but only for those that use frontpage, which i don't. Can someone please explain to me what this is and how frontpage makes this works?

PS, my problem with my PHP mail form is that it sends the information to every email address ive tried except the one that i really want it to go to.

Can you post your code that you use for the mail form.

Also, are you sure that the email address you are trying to send emails to is valid, like typed correctly and even exists.

Hi,

that could be a server setting on the mail server that receives the mail. The problem is that your from header isn't valid. It should look like

$header = "From: E-news Sign-up visitor <[e-mail]>";
or
$header = "From: [e-mail]";

thank you! but what i still don't understand is what email to put in for the From: header because the form will be filled out by different people with different emails. This is a form that users fill out and the email is sent to someone that collects this data and adds them to an emailer list. The person that fills out the form does not receive a response email.

Ok,

use [e-mail] where theformdomain.com is the domain of the web site that hosts the form. The person that collects the data doesn't need the from address to do anything, just the contents of the mail. But to make sure that the mail server doesn't reject to deliver the mail use a valid email address.
