[Resolved] asp 2 php conversion problem

Hi All

I have been put in charge of an old site that has a large hotel directory written in Mysql and ASP on it which hasn't been working for agges and i'm not an asp man.

One of the fields in the directory is about the facilities of each hotel which relates to another table which holds all of the facilities. The problem is rather than using a seperate table to hold the relationships between hotel and facilites it is all stored in one field as a load of numbers.

Here is the make up of the basics of the tables

Hotels Table

Hotel_ID            Int(11) Primary Key
Hotel_Name          char(50)
Hotel_Address       char(50)
Facilites           int (11)


Facilities Table (no Primary Key)

Bit          int(11)
Feature      char(25)

an example from each table

Not sure how they were calculating what facilities were in which hotel. Be great if someone could help

figured it..

basically the number was the decimal represntation of a binary number where each 1 was a checked item and the 0s unchecked. so i used phps decbin() to get the binary represention and then parse that to pull out the correct values
