PHP Code displaying incorrectly...

Hi, I'm new to PHP, if you can help me I'd really appreciate it!

I have tried to open a .php file in dreamwearverMX, word and notepad but it does not display properly.

Heres a sample:

Anyone any ideas whats going on here?

I'm trying to edit a php file following some simple enough instructions to mod my IPB forums, but can't even get at the code.

Help is much appreciated, I don't know where to begin.

You cant its apparently encoded using Zend Encoder by the looks of it.

The install Wizard now says
"Your php.ini was not found in its default location. Please specify the location"

Where might I find that?
Is there any other php software I might need?

use windows search,

type php.ini

Yea that was my first guess, only it didn’t find anything.

I’ve downloaded and installed the following from php.net:
PHP 4.3.9 installer [1,045Kb] - 22 Sep 2004
(CGI only, MySQL support built-in, packaged as Windows installer to install and configure PHP, and automatically configure IIS, PWS and Xitami, with manual configuration for other servers. N.B. no external extensions included)

And also ZEND OPTIMISER from zend.com

But it still doesn’t display!

Anyone any ideas?

You cant its encoded meaning that the encoder has sent an encrypted version of the PHP source file back to be used. Unless you have the actual source file you cannot edit it.
