Perl Text DB, convert to Mysql

Hi,

I have a text DB that I need to grab the data from and place into my sql.

example line

username|password|2452919-09:25:22|^{|||Mark||Lastname|Job|Business|Phone|Address|City|Qld|4068|Australia|Fax|Mobile|} email|||||website||I agree to the Terms & Conditions||^|||Approved

My biggest concern is the differing delimiters, it looks like | and |^||| and |||||. Different patterns.

Would I use a Regular expression to grab each of these fields.

Well, personally, if it's a one-off, I'd just use a text editor to search and replace 5 or 6 times - be faster than writing a script.

Are you sure about this data though, seems like empty fields are replaced with the fieldname??
