Ok i just installed apache and PHP and MySQL 4.1 or something close to that. Everything works and apache should be ready for mySQL but i cant connect to mySQL at all. I tried to telnet it and that didnt connect. So i believe for some reason the 3306 port is not open or blocked some how. How can open/unblock it? I am not using a router but i am on a school campus and i know that they use a router but MySQL is on my localhost so i dont think it should matter to much.

I got it. I just needed to start the server 🙁 i know i know i am a newb. Sorry.
