Password Auth

Hello all,

I want to ask if it's possible to ask for a password like the picture I have attached only with PHP? I don't want to use the .htaccess files etc. If there's some for doing this dynamically, it would be great if you tell me.

Would that post back the username and password as a POST?

Does the browser/server pause once header('WWW-Authenticate: Negotiate'); is called, until the user submits or cancels?

if PHP is running as an Apache module the username/password will be available in $SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] and $SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW']
