Reading ebooks with handheld device

Hi guys,

I have many ebooks (mainly in pdf/chm/doc format) and I want to read them with handheld device with lowest cost. Since 99% of the content of these ebooks are pure text, I am willing to convert all these books to pure text files if it is necessary.

Any idea?

Yes, I prefer hardcopy as well. But most books are too thick/heavy to be brought with me.

I dont have a Handheld so I cannot say for sure but dont most come with some sort of Reader that reads at least PDF not sure about the other 2 but I am almost certain they come with PDF Reader.

My PDA (windows 2003 embedded) comes with Microsoft reader, but you can download adobe acrobat for it. You can also download acrobat for palm.
