PHP and GD/ImageMagick

Heya, i have a gallery, and am wondering if my thumbnails (currently GD created) could be done with imagemagick, GD works...but is very ugly. the problem is that i cant work out how to generate images on the fly with Imagemagick, the tutorial somewhere on the site saves it to a directory, i need it to be outputted like with the imagejpeg() command. can anyone help???? alternatively, is there any way to make GD better quality?

sorrry about that, ive fixed it. used the imagecreatetruecolor() function instead of imagecreate(). thanks. jorj.

And use imagecopyresampled() instead of imagecopyresized() to get them even better. And if you're saving them as jpeg files, remember to set the jpeg quality option in imagejpeg().
