Newbie requires help

I have one database with three tables in it. I want to query rows from all 3 tables. All 3 tables are identical in structure and have the exact same columns.

It's for an amateur sports website. Each table is for a year- 2004, 2003 and 2002. I want to be able to display statistics for an individual player who has played in all 3 years.

What is the best way to do this? Please explain in terms a newb can understand. Thanks in advance.

hmm... it might be easier to condense the tables into one single table with the year (or a key related to the year) as a key.

Anyway, what is your schema for these tables?

Fields- Name(varchar), Team(varchar), Year(int), Games Played(int), Touchdowns(int), Points(int).

All tables have the exact same structure and fields. Please let me know if anymore information is needed to assist.

If anybody has any suggestions or if I can be pointed in the direction of a tutorial or some documentation on what I am trying to accomplish here it would be greatly appreciated.
