preventing images from being printed

Is there a way, not necessarily by php, to prevent images on a website from being printed? I need to display an image but I need to protect it from being printed by the user by all means. Is that possible?

nope.

you might be able to make it harder for them to do, but there is no way you can stop them.

if they can see the image, they can save the image. if they can save the image, they can whatever they want with it.

making your images into something like a flash file would make it pretty tough for them to print, but they can still take a screenshot 😉

the solution? watermark the images.

yeah, I was thinking about flash. But I already thought up the screenshot problem. I didn't think there was a way around it. Thanks for the response.
